Other Skin Lesions

Most facial skin lesions are benign.
It is recommended that you seek medical advice if you have any
:

  • moles that are either new or changing

  • new, growing, or unusual growing growths on your skin

  • abnormal areas of skin that do not heal within three weeks.

Benign skin lesions include moles, warts and cysts. You may wish to have these removed for reassurance or cosmetic reasons.
Skin tumours or cancers include rodent ulcers (basal cell carcinoma, or BCC), squamous cell cancers, and melanomas.
